🧑‍🏫 Student-Centered Pedagogy

Student-Centered Pedagogy helps teachers move from teacher-led instruction to learner-centered practice rooted in Kenya’s CBE competencies and Finnish-inspired pedagogy. Participants will explore how to design learning experiences where students think, ask questions, collaborate, make choices, solve real-life problems, reflect on growth, and build confidence as capable learners. Through videos, podcasts, readings, peer reflection, practical tasks, and classroom design assignments, teachers will learn how to facilitate learning rather than simply deliver content. This course also introduces light connections to Phenomenon-Based Learning and teacher leadership, preparing participants for future courses in the diploma program.
