Terms & Conditions and Payment Agreement

CBC & Finnish-Inspired Teaching Certification Program (2 Years)

Delivered in alignment with Mbagara Training Institute (MTTI)

1. Program Overview

The CBC & Finnish-Inspired Teaching Certification Program is a two-year hybrid teacher training program designed to prepare participants for teaching practice and certification aligned with the Kenyan Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

The program is delivered through:

  • Self-paced online coursework

  • Mandatory weekly live Zoom sessions

  • Supervised teaching practice with learners

Successful completion of all academic and practical requirements is required for certification.

2. Eligibility and Enrollment

By enrolling in this program, the applicant confirms that they:

  • Meet the minimum entry requirements as stated at enrollment

  • Are committed to completing the full two-year program

  • Understand that certification is awarded only upon successful completion, not at enrollment

Enrollment is confirmed only after payment of the required down payment and acceptance into the program.

3. Program Structure and Participation Requirements

Participants agree to:

  • Attend mandatory weekly Zoom sessions for each course

  • Complete all self-paced coursework and assignments

  • Actively participate in discussions, reflections, and assessments

  • Complete required teaching practice with a group of learners

Failure to meet participation or academic requirements may result in delayed progression or non-completion.

4. Teaching Practice Requirement

As part of certification requirements, participants must:

  • Teach a group of 10–15 learners for the required practicum period

  • Conduct teaching in an approved setting, which may include:

    • Schools

    • Churches

    • Daycare centers

    • Community learning spaces

Teaching practice must be documented and verified according to program guidelines.

5. Fees and Payment Structure

Total Program Cost

KES 300,000 (Two Years)

Fees are paid year by year as follows:

Year 1
  • Down Payment (non-refundable): KES 30,000

  • Remaining balance paid in monthly installments

Year 2
  • Down Payment (non-refundable): KES 30,000

  • Remaining balance paid in monthly installments

Payment schedules will be communicated at the start of each year.

6. Payment Agreement

By enrolling, the participant agrees that:

  • Down payments are non-refundable

  • Monthly installments must be paid on the first day of the month

  • Access to course materials, Zoom sessions, or assessments may be paused if payments are late by 5 days

Payment plans are designed to support access while ensuring program sustainability.

7. Withdrawal, Deferral, and Refund Policy

  • Participants may withdraw from the program by providing written notice

  • Down payments are non-refundable

  • Paid monthly fees are not refundable once course access has been granted

In special circumstances (health, family, or financial hardship), participants may request:

  • Temporary deferral to a future cohort

  • Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed

8. Certification Conditions

Certification is awarded only if all of the following are completed:

  • Required coursework

  • Mandatory Zoom attendance

  • Teaching practice and documentation

  • Final assessments and portfolio submission

Failure to complete requirements may result in:

  • Delayed certification

  • Non-issuance of certificate

9. Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to:

  • Act professionally in all learning environments

  • Respect fellow participants, instructors, and learners

  • Use ethical teaching practices

Unprofessional or harmful behavior may result in disciplinary action, including removal from the program without refund.

10. Program Changes and Updates

The program provider reserves the right to:

  • Update schedules, learning materials, or delivery methods

  • Make adjustments to improve quality or respond to regulatory guidance

Participants will be informed of any significant changes in advance.

11. Limitation of Guarantee

Completion of this program:

  • Prepares participants for teaching certification

  • Does not guarantee employment or automatic registration with any employer or government body

12. Agreement and Consent

By enrolling in this program, the participant confirms that they:

  • Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions

  • Agree to the payment structure and participation requirements

  • Accept responsibility for completing all program components
