🔍 The Gift of Looking Closer: Reflection at the Heart of Rekla

Sometimes the world pushes us forward so quickly that we can’t even see how far we’ve come. We’re so focused on the next goal, the next task, the next mountain to climb, that we forget the quiet power of the journey itself.

But in Finnish pedagogy, reflection isn’t an afterthought. It’s not something squeezed in at the end of a lesson or scribbled in a journal before moving on. It’s a living, breathing part of learning. A pause with purpose. A moment to make meaning.
At Rekla, Reflection is one of our five core pillars. We believe it’s impossible to move forward with clarity and confidence unless we understand how we arrived at the present moment. Reflection gives value to our struggles, teaches us through our setbacks, and gently highlights our growth. It transforms mistakes into lessons and routine into purpose. When we stop and reflect, we don’t lose momentum, we actually deepen it.
So today, I’m taking a breath and reflecting on the past month, one of the most meaningful beginnings of my life.
I started Rekla not just as a business, but as a legacy. This is my way of helping shape a better world for students, teachers, and future generations. Finnish pedagogy is the avenue I’ve chosen because it models what I believe education should be: human-centered, trust-driven, play-infused, and rooted in real-world relevance.
Rekla was born from that vision and in this first month, it’s already begun to take shape:
🌍 I created tools for teachers around the world, especially in low-resource classrooms in Kenya and Saudi Arabia.
💡 I launched my first online course to empower educators through Finnish-inspired strategies.
📚 I shared lesson bundles that are practical, inquiry-based, and deeply meaningful.
💻 I began building the Rekla AI Brain a digital companion aligned with the Rekla Framework to support teachers around the clock.
🧭 I even laid the groundwork for a global training school, designed to equip teachers with the tools, values, and confidence to thrive in any classroom, anywhere.
📲 Began building an app to help educators create Finnish-inspired lesson plans with ease
And yet, through all the doing, one thing remains clear: this isn’t just about building products or ticking off accomplishments. It’s about living the journey with intention, day by day, guided by the Rekla Pillars of Trust, Inquiry, Play, Collaboration, and Reflection.
We’re still small. We’re still just beginning. But the foundation is strong and rooted in purpose. I can already envision Rekla reaching more teachers, more students, more schools and sparking curiosity, confidence, and creativity along the way. That change won’t happen overnight, but with patience and perseverance, I know it will come.
So today, I reflect not just to celebrate what’s been built, but to remind myself of what matters most: the mission, the heart, the learning. And tomorrow, I move forward with gratitude and grit.
